LIFE IS GREAT! It was an unanimous vote. I guess the idea was to give the neighbors and traffic the idea to have no worries because after all, LIFE IS GREAT! We noticed that the sun was undoubtedly going to go down before we could finish all those words, so My Honey came up with the idea for the Heart.
It stayed there through the next couple of days and even through another storm, until the sun decided to give us a huge break. The temp was actually in the 60's for a little bit. NICE!

Full of Heart

Can you see the HEART? This was our family time we had on the 19th. We have this great park real close to our house, which we chose for our project. We voted on a word to write in the newly fallen snow, but we were being beaten by the sundown, it was stealing all of our light. What we made instead of words was this giant heart. The gaol was to give the traffic and neighbors some type of meaningful, inspiring , thought provoking message, from the whatever it was that we chose to write. Some of the words that we all had to vote on were: JOY, LOVE, FAMILY and FRIENDS, FUN, FAMILY FUN, and LIFE IS GREAT. Which one would you vote on? I'll tell you the one we picked when a few of you have decided on your fave.

Mother and Daughter angels. I do believe she is more of an angle than I am ;)

Martine Luther King Day
Okay... I have a little beef I want to put out there. If you look back on my blog to November you will see what happened at our school on Veteran's Day. What I want to know is, why is that day not as important as Martin Luther King Day? I understand that this is an important day. I respect the man who opened the white man's eyes and gave the black people the courage to demand for themselves, the rights they deserve. But why allow this day to be observed and not also a day that celebrates the people who are serving our country, the men and women who help/have helped shape our great country, and all those wonderful people who aid us in our daily freedoms. Why? I'm just in awe at our school system.

Eddie and Alice's Visit 2006

This is Alyssa, Storm, Ethan, little Ethan, and Willow. They were having fun out in our back yard digging this huge hole. Even the night could not thwart their diligence. Here are some more shots of the night.

Ellie is missing WE FOUND HER!

Sad news, our dog has gotten out of our gate and with all of our efforts is not yet found. We have exhausted ourselves looking for her. I have called all the places I could think of, with no good news yet. I bet someone is planning on keeping her because she is an awesome dog, the perfect dog.

The Strange Habits of Ellie

New Year's Eve

This is our New Year's Eve Fiesta Dinner with our friends Barb and Brent Clarke.Tracy makes the worlds best enchiladas and I admit to making the best guacamole on the planet. We played Master Clue after dinner, which was great fun, Tracy won, the little stinker. Tracy and Barb were drifting off before the New Year hit. So our friends went home a little early. This left only my kids and I to use up all the party poppers out on the front porch and watch the fireworks up on "The Peak". Then our tipsy neighbors set off illegal fireworks, as we watched through our front room window.
