The Strange Habits of Ellie

The strange habits of our dog Ellie... the first is is that she'll find anything on the floor to lay her head on. When she's serious about her sleep she will stick only her nose under part of whatever she's found to sleep on. Here she is resting on my daughter's coat.

This one is her sitting up like a person. Notice how even her legs are crossed? We often get quite a few chuckles over her habits. She entertains without even knowing it. She is a fun ol' dog.

She is a great dog. The best we've ever had. I was able to get a new sewing machine after Christmas and will be putting my skills to the test soon. I have a few projects I want to get started, one of them being a doggy bed for Ellie. I have been without a sewing machine for about a year and a half, which is like torture. It was nice of Barb to lend me hers for the past few months. I was glad to finally give it back at the New Year's Eve dinner. She is a good friend to lend it to me for such a long time.

Amber did write back an e-mail. I am trying to get her to set up a blog. This might be a little intimidating for her at first but she would get the hang of it. Don't you think? After all look how I have ran with it, and I'm the most challenged computer illiterate person I know.

O'boy, was that who I think it was? It is real stormy out here today. My Internet connection is via Satalite, the storm is making it difficult to get things done. On top of that the power went off for a fraction of a second and caused the computer to reboot right in the middle of things I was working on.

Love you, Dad

Merri,
I can't believe you found me. It has been way too long since we've seen each other or talked. What in the world are you up to? There wasn't much text on your blog but the pictures were great. As you can tell I am still long winded, even in text ;)

I can tell you have your hands full with three boys. I thought you only had two. They are all so cute.

Dad,
Merri is Alice's sister and my friend. As you recall Alice is married to Eddie who is Paulie's best friend and our adopted brother. We have known each other for years, about twenty or so. She moved away from Bakersfield just before we did and we have lost touch, since.

Dad,
Did you see my latest blog about Ellie going missing?

Joyce,
I had just had Kevin, the youngest and third one, when we moved into those apartments near you guys in Bakersfield. It has just been way too long for sure. Jacob is 9, Brian 6 and Kevin will be 4 next month. Where do the years go? They do keep me busy, and are such good boys.
I don't say much on my blog, I know. I use it mostly to show friends and relatives that are distanced from us what is going on here. So I just usually use it to put lots of pictures on and just caption the pictures. Not very many people comment on my posts, unlike yours. It's great that you can talk so much! I've always loved that about you.

Merri,
That's right! I was trying to think back, but for some reason I was coming up blank. Now I remember we were working out to loose the baby weight, when we messed up your back. It's all coming back to me. By the way your family picture is wonderful. You need to get one of you on your profile so we can see your pretty face every time you leave a comment.
