CHOP CHOP!

This me with my hair all chopped off. You might not be able to tell, but I had about ten inches cut off. I'm still not too sure about the change. What do you think?

You're still my baby girl. Mary Mom keeps her hair shorter than that.

Love you, Dad

You're beautiful as always. It takes a while to get used to a drastic change though, doesn't it....you both look great!

I think you look beautiful. What made you chage? Just curious. I find the shorted the hair, the easier to maintain, and the less weight I feel on my head.

Looks like Joyce. I was shocked when I first saw your hair so long. Looks great.

Didn't make it here yesterday. Started on the Taxes Saturday afternoon and didn't finish till late last night, my brain was exausted, and I went to bed.

As the other ladies said, you are beautiful, and your hair looks great.

I am really sorry I have been a busy girl. My days have been filled with helping a friend pack to move, doing my calling, giving talks, visiting with friends, spending the day watching a friends four boys including a newborn baby, being the lead along with my husband in our ward's road show(this also included making costumes etc.) and being a mom, well actually what I like to call... a SUPER BRIDE.

rainstorm said...

I had a really GREAT Birthday. We made twelve jars of strawberry jam and seven jars of chicken-veggie soup . If I hadn't told you my honey got me a canning pressure cooker for my Birthday. This sparked an idea I had for the activity I did with all my friends on the day of my birthday. We had a canning party. Everyone brought tons of strawberries and we made jam for my food pantry. I wound up giving most of it away but it turned out Delicious! I had bought the stuff for my soup, which came out perfect, I kept it ;)It is almost gone, there's only one jar left.YUM!

You were all wondering how well my talk went, well It was AWESOME! That's the review I got. I cant tell you how many people told me how well it turned out. They were even quoting it so I knew they actually paid attention.

Lisa,
That was what I was thinking when the Bishop asked me to talk. I thought for sure it was just for me, the most time challenged person I know. But to my relief it wasn't. I'm certain this talk didn't apply much to many of us active church members. It can be found in Last April's Ensign.I just looked it up at LDS.org It was called "This Day".

I also used President Monson's talk from last month's Ensign. It was called "Treasure of Eternal Value".

Dad,
About two years ago you sent me a e-mail about a man who had just lost his wife and had found a piece of clothing in her drawer she had never worn. She was saving it for a SPECIAL occasion. President Monson used this as an example in his talk. What he didn't share, that your e-mail did was, that it was a pair of "Fancy Panties".Rest assured he and I both used it in tasteful context, without divulging the type of clothing it was.

What I learned form the whole thing was to listen to the Holy Ghost and act upon his promptings. Don't put off things like helping others, changing a bad habit, or doing anything good, because of fear etc. Heavenly Father WILL help us with these things. We must be willing to forgive ourselves if we fall, and pick ourselves up not only for our own benefit but for the benefit of others like our friends and family ;), make every day a "Special" day, and try to understand that the word "Someday" is not in our vocabulary.

P.S. Thanks for the Happy Birthday wishes, they were all so nice ;)

Old age is trying to take over. I had something I wanted to say, but by the time I got to your blog, I forgot what it was I wanted to say. Oh well, for another time.

Just got back from taking Hannah and her friend to school. Have to leave again soon to take Shane to his bus stop, or right to school if he is too late to catch the bus, and take Mary Mom to her work over in Santa Rosa.

Have to go. I love you,
Dad
