Lightning 06

This is what we get all summer long. I found a neat function on my camera and was able to get some cool pictures from this electrical storm. There wasn't any rain so it made taking the pictures easy. Next time I'll use the tripod, if I feel brave enough. It seemed highly dangerous being out in the open with the lightning crashing all around. I did record some of it on video, so I'll have to figure out how to transport it onto my blog so you can see it live.

City Dwellers

I was on my way into the town when these deer came walking across the street right in front of the cars. The traffic was stopped for a few minutes so I snapped the shots. This is on my street but about fifteen blocks into town. There were about six or seven of them and even the babies were at least 200 lbs.

DownTown Colorado Springs

These pictures were taken near Christmas in downtown Springs. We were in the truck and I thought the streets were just beautiful.

Is that Mr. Potato Head?

These are just a few faces of My Mr. Potato Head and Baby Spud. The top shows Mr. Potato Head "Happy to finally talk". Next we have Baby Spud who's getting her evening supper. And finally the "Serious Fan".

What did we VOTE for our project?

LIFE IS GREAT! It was an unanimous vote. I guess the idea was to give the neighbors and traffic the idea to have no worries because after all, LIFE IS GREAT! We noticed that the sun was undoubtedly going to go down before we could finish all those words, so My Honey came up with the idea for the Heart.

It stayed there through the next couple of days and even through another storm, until the sun decided to give us a huge break. The temp was actually in the 60's for a little bit. NICE!

Full of Heart

Can you see the HEART? This was our family time we had on the 19th. We have this great park real close to our house, which we chose for our project. We voted on a word to write in the newly fallen snow, but we were being beaten by the sundown, it was stealing all of our light. What we made instead of words was this giant heart. The gaol was to give the traffic and neighbors some type of meaningful, inspiring , thought provoking message, from the whatever it was that we chose to write. Some of the words that we all had to vote on were: JOY, LOVE, FAMILY and FRIENDS, FUN, FAMILY FUN, and LIFE IS GREAT. Which one would you vote on? I'll tell you the one we picked when a few of you have decided on your fave.
