Fun on the go

Fun on the go has been the theme of this week. Other than a little running around we have spent the whole time so far doing things I love, like sleeping in and shopping. We have went out for dinner for Mom's birthday and even fit in a movie, too! We also did a few plumbing side jobs to help get ready for Christmas. Oh and I can't forget we also went to Tracy's two year old nieces birthday party in the middle of all the shopping. My husband is a wonderful cook. He has made plenty of great meals for our family to enjoy, including a feast of a brunch just today. I have loved the time I've spent with my husband, my children, and the rest of our family. We did get a bit of snow to usher in the holiday, a welcomed sight.

That's me, your little rainstorm. Except right now I feel more like a puddle. I only had about an hour and a half of sleep Sunday night, then spent the whole day out yesterday, and today I am bushed, even with the seven hours of sleep I got last night. My sleep schedule is all out of whack. This all started Sunday morning when I stayed up making Tracy's mom's Christmas tree ornaments until 5:30am and slept till 1:30pm. Anyways, today I have even taken a three hour nap and I'm still tired. I think I need a PEPSI.

Doesn't Pepsi have caffeine in it?

Counting down the days until Christmas huh? That comes straight from the kid in you. Did you notice how you strongly resemble that jolly ol' elf? All you need is a bit more weight, a red hat, and red suit. That would be so cool! You wouldn't escape the peering eyes of all the children both young and old. When we see someone who looks like Santa while we are out and about, my kids can generally bet they'll hear the words..."He sees you when your sleeping, he knows when you're awake, and so on" streaming from their mom's lips. Did you know that there are clubs for Santa's? They meet every year for fun activities and such.

Oh! Yes Pepsi does have caffeine in it but if you are worried about the churches view on that, it doesn't prohibit it. They just strongly urge us to be mindful of harmful addictive stimulants like that. Now coffee and regular tea are a whole other story.

Both Mary and I were not feeling too well yesterday. Mary stayed in bed all day. I never even put my cloths on, came down to the barn in my bath robe to do my work on the computer. Love, Dad

A lot of people were out sick this morning at church. Mary's back was bothering her, but we both went to church. Only 16 more days till Christmas. Love, Dad

We did get quite a bit of snow Saturday and we're supposed to get hit again tonight. I would love it if my children get a snow day tomorrow I kinda miss them, plus I could use their help getting the upstairs (where both of their rooms and the craft rooms are) cleaned. A tidy house aids the peace in our home. It is such a relief when the whole thing is done at one time.

I hope you are all better now. I on the other hand had what I could only chalk up as a bout of appendicitis or something else dreadfully painful. I stayed up all night crying and clutching my tummy until about 9:30 a.m. Needless to say we didn't go to church. Speaking of church... did you hear what happened here in the Springs at the New Life church this Sunday? It was bad. They think the guy was responsible for several deaths that day including some in Denver. What is this world coming to? It's just full of all kinds of people trying in any way to go out with a BANG. I wish this would all just stop, but we know it's going to get much worse before it's going to get any better(when Christ comes again). I find myself worried about something happening everywhere I go now. We're not safe anywhere anymore.

We didn't hear about the New Life church. I hope you are feeling better. There are only 14 days till Christmas. Are you going to be able to go to Paul's graduation the 16th? Love, Dad

Snow will be the only thing keeping us. There is a huge pass that is bad this time of year. If we don't get new tires for the truck, we may not be able to go.

Hi my love, only 13 more days till Christmas. Sorry I can't help with the tires. Love, Dad
