Veteran's Day

Okay I don't know if you know this but, Colorado Springs is a military city with several basses, the Air Force Academy, and pretty much, you name it, we've got it. You would think that Veterans Day would be a day that would be observed and the children would get off from school. That, as you can tell I'm getting to, is not the case, here in Colorado Springs. I think that there are plenty of people present and past that have given so much for the freedom of our country, I do believe that this day is an honorable holiday. So in protest to this strange neglect, I am exercising my right as a parent, in keeping my children home. I am very proud of the many people that did and continue to do so much for me, my family, and every free American/non-American that gets to enjoy the greatest land on earth, The United States Of America. We are the "Land of the Free and Home of the Brave", because of you. Thank YOU for giving your time or your life so that others can live and for protecting the people I love the most. I Love You My Honey!

What branch of the service was your Honey in Joyce Katie? In my old age, I can not tell from the picture. Love, Dad

He was an Air Space Ground Equipment Mechanic. Keeping the birds in the air. That was before his mission. He was fresh out of High School and was just a kid then. We met when he was 25, which was long past his service days.

Other news... my dogie is not feeling well today. She got sick all over my son's bedroom last night. Not my favorite way to being woken up, having my son tell me it was REAL bad. My first thought was which neighbor poisoned her? She can be annoying when she barks. I hope it's not something bad. Because we don't even have a vet. It's also not something I want to deal with while my husband isn't here.

Joycie Dear,

When you have time to review the comments to your Blog Posts, you will notice that your father thinks about you every day.

Love,
Dad

Ellie is great!

We had a cat adopt us about 9 months ago. She is what I call bulimic and is always making messes. My cat has a fur-ball problem. She gets them out by binging and purging. Well, the dog's nature, I found out this week, is to clean up her messes. Now I'm thinking that's what made Ellie sick. It's really quite gross.

So are you going to put a picture of Matt on here?

I just replied to your e-mail that you told me about Matt. I'm sorry that I sound so pushy about him. He's my big brother of another mother and I want to know more about him ;) I'm just a curious little kitty.

Long hair cats do that a lot, but all cats do that because they are always cleanning themselves. Dogs clean up cat messes, all kinds of cat messes, because that is what dogs do.

I don't think we have Matt's picture on a computer.

I didn't think you were pushy about Matt. Matt and Nita were both bourn the same year, so they are 'big brother and big sister to you, Paul and Amber.

Love,
Dad

I thought so, turning the big 4 0. My Husband is only a few weeks older than Nita. Did you know that Nita goes by Juanita now? It feels strange to me so I keep right on calling her Nita.
